Bee Aware

At PNW Honey Farm our passion for sustainable beekeeping goes beyond our honey to our love for bees and all they represent for the environment. We are grateful to work with growers who share the same values we do - who make the choice not to use pesticides and respect natural farming and the connection between all things in nature, including our beloved bees. Unfortunately, not all our partners agree with the pesticide-free process. Despite our contracts, they spray their crops in the evening or at night to avoid detection. The signs of pesticide use are easily identified through low crop pollination and even worse, dead bees. Not only is this a violation of our agreement, but damages their crops and bee populations in the long term. As education increases we hope that the understanding of these incredible creatures grows along with their increased protection and appreciation.
